Soluto's goal is to make it easier for people to help others with their PCs, making everyone happier with the technology they use every day.

The Soluto web service allows anyone to remotely manage their PC and others’ PCs over the web. Power users who help others to manage their PC cannot access the desktop, files or browsing history of the people they help; the power users can only view anonymous details of the PC’s technical performance. Soluto installs an agent on all PCs supported through the web service, and this Soluto agent communicates with our back-end servers and transmits anonymous data back to the Soluto PC Genome server for computation and analysis.

The PC Genome is a unique knowledgebase that will contain statistical insights about PC software and hardware behavior, as well as suggestions and remedies to help alleviate frustrations with apps, software and PCs in general. The data gathered from the entire universe of Soluto users will be available to the public as the PC Genome project, allowing us all to work together to find crowd-sourced ways to improve technology, progress applications, solve crashes and make technology and PCs better for everyone.

Our objective in sharing this data is to make everyone happier with the technology they use every day, not to shed negative light on software and hardware vendors.
